i came across this in another post about a woman who was ousted from a woman's gym to "spare the children." so frustrating...if anyone should see mamas feeding their babies, it's other children...

I nurse all over our college town. Wanna know something? It is the boys who ALWAYS smile at me and commonly position themselves near me. It was also common, while I was pregnant, for this to happen. Young boys yearn to experience nurturing, even vicariously, in this society where we disallow them of it from the time they can first pick up a ball. I work HARD to remember this as the mother of a boy... The future lover, husbnd, father...
